Histrionic and extravagant persona on the outside but conflicted on the inside. Dali in his later years reverted to a more classical style, on his journey to rediscover religion. He had once said: “I believe in God but have no faith”.
His perspective from above of the crucified and suffering Christ, is remarkable. He said that his vision came from a “cosmic dream” where he saw the nucleus of the atom studied by modern scientists as the center of the Universe and he realized it was the same with Christ.
Another great painting is his Last Supper which Dan included in that chapter.
